This luxurious Italianate style estate fits seamlessly in its hillside Bel Air neighborhood with prevailing traditional character. Following the client’s wish for a feel of grandeur and affluence the design is formal, utilizing the aesthetic principles of symmetry and order, with historical architectural detailing throughout. The main rooms on the first floor communicate directly to an open courtyard that serves as an outdoor lounge and entertainment area. Due to the hillside nature of the site we designed a substantial deck on piles to accommodate a sizable formal garden to further enhance the classical feel of the estate. A crescent infinity pool offers magnificent views of the surroundings and a smooth transition to the natural landscape beyond.
