This project is a custom single-family residence in Beverly Hills that reinterprets traditional European architectural principles through a contemporary lens, with a strong emphasis on site planning, landscape integration, and spatial continuity.

Set on an expansive, privately enclosed lot, the design is organized as a series of linear and orthogonal volumes that frame a highly articulated rear yard. The architecture establishes a clear dialogue between built form and landscape, where the outdoor environment becomes the primary experiential focus of the residence.

The backyard is conceived as a sequence of terraced planes, anchored by a large rectilinear pool that acts as the central organizing element. Surrounding this core, a series of programmed zones—including sunken lounge areas, fire features, open lawn, and shaded seating—create a layered composition that supports both large-scale entertaining and more intimate daily use. A detached pavilion structure at the perimeter further extends the program, providing a flexible indoor-outdoor retreat.

The main residence opens fully toward this landscape through expansive glazed façades and continuous covered terraces. Curved and linear geometries are strategically juxtaposed to soften transitions and introduce variation within an otherwise disciplined framework. The upper level extends outward with balconies that overlook the yard, reinforcing visual connectivity across all levels of the home.

Material expression is restrained and cohesive, combining light plaster, stone cladding, and refined trim detailing to create a timeless architectural language. The palette is intentionally neutral, allowing light, shadow, and landscape to define the character of the spaces.

The project prioritizes clarity of organization, proportional balance, and the seamless integration of architecture and landscape—resulting in a residence that is both formally composed and highly attuned to contemporary Southern California living.
