The design of the house maximizes access to the view such that all the main living spaces look out over it. The house is large almost 5,000 sf total and features a large patio adjacent to a pool oriented toward the view, a backyard with plants, vegetation and seating areas at the very top level where you can enjoy the unobstructed panoramic view. All the bedrooms at second level capture the view as well through the all-glass facade that is a main component of the design. Certain level of privacy and sun shade is achieved by introducing fixed wooden slats/fins from the exterior side of the second floor facade. Below the main floor, at street level, are a guestroom, an entertainment room, maid’s quarter, and a 3-car garage. The palette of materials is soft contemporary with extensive use of travertine stone cladding at the base in contrast to dark-colored stucco above and exterior grade White-Oak wood cladding.
